IS/ISO 17584 : 2022 Refrigerant Properties
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 17584 : 2022 'Refrigerant properties' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Sectional Committee and approval of the Mechanical Engineering Division council.
The standard was first published in 2018. The present revision has been taken up to harmonize with ISO 17584 : 2022.
This standard supersedes IS/ISO 17584 : 2005 'Refrigerant properties'.
Major changes in this revision is as follows:
a) Addition of new refrigerants [R290, R600a, R1233zd(E), R1336mzz(Z), R1234yf, R1234ze(E)]; and
b) Specification of ammonia has been updated.
The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appears referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
