NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 17683 : 2014 ‘Ships and marine technology - Ceramic weld backing for marine use’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Shipbuilding Sectional Committee and approval of the Transport Engineering Divisional Council.
