NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 22000 : 2018 ‘Food safety management systems — Requirements for any organization in the food chain’ issued by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Food Hygiene, Safety Management and Other Systems Sectional Committee, and approval of the Food and Agriculture Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2005 and was identical with ISO 22000 : 2005. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 22000 : 2018.

The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. However, wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
