IS/ISO 2721 : 2013 Photography - Film-based Cameras - Automatic Controls of Exposure
Reaffirmed 2023
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 2721 : 2013 ‘Photography - Film-based cameras - Automatic controls of exposure’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the photography and Cinematography Equipment Sectional Committee, and approval of the Mechanical Engineering Division Council.
This standard was originally published in 2001 under the dual numbering series as IS 15046 : 2001/ISO 2721 : 1982. The committee has now decided to adopt this standard under the single numbering system in order to align it with the latest version of ISO 2721 : 2013, to make pace with the latest international practices. This standard supersedes IS 15046 : 2001/ISO 2721 : 1982.
The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
