NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 3449 : 2005 ‘Earth-moving machinery - Falling-object protective structures - Laboratory tests and performance requirements’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Material Handling Systems and Equipment Sectional Committee and approval of the Mechanical Engineering Division Council.
