NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 1) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 3826-1 : 2019 ‘Plastics collapsible containers for human blood and blood components - Part 1 Conventional containers’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Hospital Equipment and Surgical Disposable Products Sectional Committee and after approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.

This Indian Standard is published in various parts. The other parts of this series are:

This standard was first published as IS 15102 : 2002 by adopting ISO 3826 : 1993 identically under dual numbering. On revision of ISO 3826 in three parts, this standard was published as IS/ISO 3826-1 : 2013, ‘Plastics collapsible containers for human blood and blood components: Part 1 Conventional containers’. This first revision has been undertaken to align it with the latest edition of ISO 3826-1 : 2019.
