NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with IS0 3939 : 1977 ‘Fluid power systemsand components- Multiple lip packing sets - Method for measuring stack heights’; issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of the Basic Fluid Power Sectional Committee and approval of the Production Engineering Division Council.

The text of the IS0 standard has been approved as suitable for publication as Indian Standard without deviation. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standard. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
