NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 6722-2 : 2013 ‘Road vehicles — 60 V and 600 V single-core cables — Part 2 : Dimensions, test methods and requirements for aluminium conductor cables’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Automotive Electrical Equipment and Instruments Sectional Committee and approval of the Transport Engineering Division Council.

This Indian Standard was originally published in 2011 as IS/ISO 6722 : 2006 ‘Road vehicles — 60 V and 600 V single-core cables — Dimensions, test methods and requirements’. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 6722-2 : 2013.

This Indian Standard is published in two parts.

The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
