NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with IS0 8042 : 1988 ‘Shock and Vibration Measurements - Characteristics to be Specified for Seismic Pick-Ups’, issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Mechanical Vibration and Shock Sectional Committee and approval by the Light Mechanical Engineering Division Council.
