NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 1) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO/IEC 10373-1 : 2020 ‘Cards and security devices for personal identification - Test methods - Part 1: General characteristics’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) jointly, was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Identification and Data Capture Techniques, Cards and Security Devices Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

This Indian Standard is published in six parts. The other parts in this series are:
