This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with ISO/IEC 11801-1 : 2017 ‘Information technology - Generic cabling for customer premises - Part 1: General requirements’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) jointly and was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendations of the Interconnection and Information Exchange among IT Equipment and Systems Sectional Committee, and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
