This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with ISO/IEC 14443-1 : 2018 ‘Cards and security devices for personal identification Contactless proximity objects Part 1: Physical characteristics’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Identification & Data Capture Techniques, Cards and Security Devices Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
