This Indian Standard (Part 2/Section 1) which is identical to ISO/IEC 14543-2-1 : 2006 'Information technology - Home electronic systems (HES) architecture - Part 2-1: Introduction and device modularity' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) jointly was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Interconnection and Information Exchange among IT Equipment and Systems Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
