This Indian Standard (Part 1) (First Revision) which is Identical with ISO/IEC 27036-1 : 2021 ‘Cybersecurity - Supplier relationships - Part 1: Overview and concepts’ Issued by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electro technical Commission (IEC) jointly was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of the Information Systems Security and Privacy Sectional Committee, and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

This Standard was originally published in 2016 and was Identical to ISO/IEC 27036-1 : 2014. The first revision aligns this Indian Standard with ISO/IEC 27036-1 : 2021.
