This Indian Standard (Part 38) which is identical with ISO/IEC 80079-38 : 2016 ‘Explosive atmospheres — Part 38: Equipment and components in explosive atmospheres in underground mines’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Electrical Apparatus for Explosive Atmospheres Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.
