This Indian Standard, which is identical withIEC Pub 384-l/QC 300000( l982)Fixed capacitors for use in electronic component-Part 1:Generic specification,’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on 15 March 1988 on the recommendation of Capacitors Sectional Committee and approval of Electronics and Telecommunication Division Council.

Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
