This Indian Standard, which is identical with IEC Pub 115-l /QC 400000 (1982)‘Fixed resistors for use in. electronic components -Part I : Generic specification: issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on9 August 1988 on the recommendation of Resistors SectionaI Committee and approval of the Electronics and Telecommunication Division Council.

Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
