IS/QC 400600 : 1994/IEC QC 400600 : 1989 Fixed Resistors for Use in Electronic Equipment Sectional Fixed Chip Resistors

NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard, which is identical with IEC Pub I IS-S/QC 400600 ( 1989-03 ) ‘Fixed resistors for use in electronic equipment, Part 8 : Sectional specification : Fixed Chip Resistor’, issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission, was adopted by Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of Resistors Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Telecommunication Division Council ( LTDC ).

The text of the IEC standard has been approved as suitable for publication as Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are, however, not indentical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standrad, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.

b) Comma ( , ) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point ( . ) as the decimal marker.
