This Indian Standard, which is identical :vith IEC Pub 748-2-3/(X 790130 (1992-01) Semiconductor devices : Integrated circuits, Part 2 : Digital integrated circuits, Section three - Blank detail specification for HCMOS digital integrated circuits (series 54174 HC, 54/74 HCT, 54/74 HCU)‘, issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of Semiconductor Devices and Integrated Circuits Sectional Committee (LTD 10) and approval of the Electronics and Telecommunication Division Council.

The text of the IEC standard has been approved as suitable for publication as Indian Standard without deviation. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
