1 Scope

This standard lays down an overview of screw threadsused either for general purposes or in specialapplications. Threads complying with standards beinggiven in Table 1 and those complying with InternationalStandards in Table 2. In Table 3 types of screw threadscovered in National Standards of UK, USA andGermany are given.
