NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 2) which is identical with IEC 60115-2: 2023 'Fixed resistors for use in electronic equipment - Part 2: Sectional specification: Low-power film resistors with leads for throughhole assembly on circuit boards (THT)' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Semiconductor Devices Components and Electronic Assembly Technology Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
ISQC 400100 was published in 1988 and was based on IEC Publication 115-2/QC 400100 (1982). This superseding is being done to align it with the latest version of IEC 60115-2 : 2023. On publication of this standard (Part 2), ISQC 400100 : 1988 stands withdrawn.
The text of IEC standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appear referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
