NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 24) which is identical to IEC 61169-24 : 2019 'Radio-frequency connectors - Part 24: Sectional specification - Radio frequency coaxial connectors with screw coupling, typically for use in 75 Ù cable networks (type F)' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of Wires, Cables, Waveguides and Accessories Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
IS 5054 (Part 24) 'Radio frequency connectors: Part 24 radio frequency coaxial connectors with screw coupling, typically for use in 75 ohm cable distribution systems (Type F)' was first published in 2007 and was based on IEC 60169-24 : 1991 'Radio-frequency connectors - Part 24: Radio-frequency coaxial connectors with screw coupling, typically for use in 75 ohm cable distribution systems (Type F)' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
IEC 60169-24 : 1991 has been withdrawn and replaced by IEC 61169-24 : 2019.
This superseding of IS 5054 (Part 24) has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of IEC 61169-24 : 2019. On publication of this Indian Standard, IS 5054 (Part 24) : 2007 stands withdrawn.
