This Indian Standard (Part 1) (First Revision) which is Identical to IEC 62548-1 : 2023 'Photovoltaic (PV) arrays - Part 1: Design requirements' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Solar Photovoltaic Energy Systems Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2020 identical to IEC 62548 : 2016. This revision has been undertaken to align with the latest version of IEC 62548-1 : 2023.
