IS/ISO 2834 : Part 2 : 2022 Graphic Technology - Laboratory Preparation of Test Prints - Part 2 Liquid Printing Inks
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 2) (First Revision) which is identical to 'ISO 2834-2 : 2022 Graphic technology - Laboratory preparation of test prints - Part 2: Liquid printing inks' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Graphic Arts Technology Sectional Committee and approval of the Management and Systems Division Council.
This standard is a part of IS/ISO 2834 series of standards under the general title 'Graphic technology - Laboratory preparation of test prints'. Other parts in this series are:
Part 1 Paste inks
Part 3 Screen printing inks
This standard was first adopted in 2019. This revision has been brought out to align it with latest version of ISO 2834-2 : 2022.
The main changes are as follows:
Parameters describing the preparation of printing forms and anilox cylinders are replaced by data (to be acquired by the user of this document) describing the ink transfer of particular settings of tester, printing form, ink and substrate.
The text of ISO standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appear referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
